OUR STORY
Inspired by the places we explore.
Made for the stories we carry home.
Avid Swim draws inspiration from the transformative power of travel: the cultures we encounter, the places we explore and the stories we carry home.
Founded in Brooklyn in 2013 and officially launched in 2015, the brand brings together luxury swimwear and resortwear with an emphasis on versatility, expressive design and thoughtful production. From reversible swim styles to relaxed resort sets and flowing dresses, Avid Swim creates pieces that can be styled across the moments of a getaway.
The collection includes options for women, men and children, with select coordinated looks for families. At its heart is a simple idea: a thoughtfully chosen travel wardrobe can offer more ways to wear, with less to pack.
Explore Avid SwimINTENTION IN EVERY PIECE
Avid Swim’s approach begins with intentional design and a primarily made-to-order production model. Producing in response to demand helps the brand manage quantities and limit excess inventory.
Versatility is central to the collection. Durability and continued wear guide the design process, while selected styles incorporate recycled fabrics. Material details should be referenced at the individual product level.
Production guided by demand.
Reversible options and adaptable separates.
Select recycled fabrics and an emphasis on lasting use.

ONE COLLECTION. FOUR COLLABORATIONS.

Passport to Ghana brings Avid Swim together with Ghanaian designers and artisans to develop one collection through four distinct creative partnerships. Each phase is being documented, sharing the people, techniques and cultural exchange behind the work.
The project spans swimwear, men’s resortwear, crochet and macramé handwork, and additional resort styles. Avid Swim is currently completing the first phase, focused on swimwear, with the remaining phases planned as part of the same collection.
Through shared design and authentic storytelling, Passport to Ghana aims to celebrate Ghanaian craftsmanship, connect African and diaspora creatives, and introduce the participating designers and artisans to wider audiences.
